Tugtu

$45.00

Ships from Queens, NYC in 3–5 business days · Free US shipping over $100

Free 30-day returns

A flower built petal by petal, one on each ear.

Tugtu are small, three-dimensional and light enough to forget you have them on. Noche with a black turtleneck and your hair pulled back. Lila or Amarillas with a white shirt and a little gold. Easy every day, a little special at dinner.

From Tatiana, the founder

"Tugtu means flower in Inga, a language spoken in Putumayo, Colombia. In beadwork, flowers are usually woven flat. The women I work with in Medellín and Putumayo weave these petal by petal and then join them, so they open up like the real thing. It takes patience, and you can see it."

Details

  • Hand-woven in Colombia with lightweight plastic beads
  • Three-dimensional flowers, woven petal by petal
  • Colors: Lila, Noche, Amarillas
  • Size: about 1.5" (3.8 cm) in diameter
  • Plastic earring back
  • Made by hand, so each pair varies slightly from the photos
