Bagabaga means butterfly
In Embera, the language of the women who weave them, bagabaga means butterfly. The technique is traditional; the shape is new. Each colorway is modeled on a real butterfly: Morpho (teal, turquoise, black, gold), Purple Emperor (deep violet), White Peacock (cream with purple and gold) and Monarch (orange, black, white).
