Life Necklaces
These small necklaces are inspired by the youth, their lively energy and fun manner. Traitionally made for younger women as Okamas have a heirarchy; the larger the Okama the more mature the woman who wears it, the more wisdom and reponsibilities she caries.
Traditionally this Okama also represents women's breasts in its shape, honoring all mothers, grandmothers and care takers, as the breast is a symbol of nourishment.
We care for the traditional meaning of all Okamas and Okama Vida's meanings can be interpreted as a metaphor, as the indgienous artisans wish to share this design with everyone no matter age or maturity.
All of our beaded accessories are handmade in Collaboration with indigenus artisans part of the Embera and Inga ethnic communities of Colombia, amongst others.
At OLT we wish to uplift and honor ancestral art and design.

We gladly accept all returns of unused, unworn and clean accessories.
You will be in charge of shipping fees back to us.
How to Care for your beaded accessories:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth
- Do not wash with water and soap
- Do not machine wash or machine dry
- Try to refrain from pulling or tugging since it is hand-made it can break after pulling.
- Store in a dry cool place inside jewelry box, or the box it came with
- Do not apply perfumes and/or lotion on top of your Okamas.

Our return policy is as follows: You may return any jewelry piece that is damaged or that you are unsatisfied with, within 30 days of order arrival. 👍
